COMPARISON
PHNTM Exec vs an executive coach
A good executive coach is worth what they charge. Most solo founders just can't pay $1,000–5,000 a month for one — so the weekly follow-through, the part that happens between the big conversations, doesn't happen at all.
PHNTM Exec is built for that part. It isn't a replacement for a great coach, and this page says where a human still wins.

What a human coach still does better
- Judgment from having done it. A coach who has built a company has seen your problem before. PHNTM Exec thinks with you, but it has never run a business.
- Reading the room. A person catches what you're not saying, face to face.
- A network. A coach can make introductions. PHNTM Exec doesn't know anyone.
- Hard seasons. When you're burned out or grieving, you want a human. PHNTM Exec slows down when things are falling apart, but it isn't therapy.
Where PHNTM Exec fits
- The weekly follow-through. It remembers what you committed to and opens the next call with it.
- The price: $30 a seat a month instead of $1,000–5,000.
- Any day you need it, not only when the next session is booked.
- Already have a coach? Use both. PHNTM Exec covers the week between your sessions.
Can an AI really hold you accountable?
Not the way a coach you pay thousands a month can. Part of why a coach works is that you don't want to waste the money or let them down. Software can't make you do the hard thing, and nothing stops you from skipping it.
What PHNTM Exec does is make skipping visible. Calls open with what's late and what you said you'd do. Move the same deadline twice and it names the pattern. Your score weighs what shipped on time, not how often you showed up — and if you turn on texts, it nudges you the day something's due.
That's the mechanism behind the goal-setting research: in a Dominican University study, people who sent weekly progress reports to someone achieved 76% of their goals, and people who kept their goals to themselves achieved 43%. PHNTM Exec is the someone, and it remembers.
